Original cover illustration for A Moon for Spoon

Little Spoon waited by the blue bowl.

Moon peeped through the window.

In the bowl's still water—

a little moon!

"Hello, Moon," whispered Spoon.

Spoon dipped a tip.

Wibble, wobble.

The little moon wobbled too.

Spoon lifted up.

Drip, drop.

Where did the little moon go?

Spoon waited.

The water grew still.

There it was.

"Hello again, Moon."

A gentle hand lifted Spoon.

A soft towel dried Spoon.

"Home now, little Spoon."

Moon in the sky.

Bowl on the shelf.

Spoon in the drawer.

"Goodnight, Moon."

The End.
